(See the cool drawing on the glass???)
I am in LOVE with dry-erase pens and use them constantly. I am very forgetful and find that if I have a reminder right in front of me, I'm more likely to remember stuff. So I keep a dry-erase pen in my bathroom and write notes to myself on my bathroom mirror. And it's really easy to clean up, just a quick flick of the wrist and the note is gone! Plus, no wasted paper! I've also made little cheap-o "note pads" and "white boards" out of printer paper and those little do-it-yourself lamination sheets you can get at office supply stores. The possibilities for those are endless:
-I have one on the back of my front door for reminders (I told you, I'm VERY forgetful)
-I keep one in my purse for shopping lists
-I've "laminated" a list at work I use all the time, and then clean it off when I'm done with the project
-I've drawn pictures of little dolls/kids on the papers "laminated" them and given them to my kids to color...erase...and re-color:
(Yes I am aware that drawing is NOT my strong suit. Thankfully my kids don't mind. Don't judge.)
But my absolute, very favorite use for dry-erase pens is for window art!!! It keeps my kids happy and busy for hours. AND they kinda feel like they're being naughty since they're writing on the window. It makes the room look prettier, can be left up for months at a time, and then cleans up really easily!
And again, wipe a towel, sponge, hand over the window and, voila, clean! Just make sure to remind them these pens are ONLY for the window/sliding glass door/mirror. Oh, and remind them that "normal" markers are only for paper. I ususally keep the dry-erase pens by the window/mirror and markers by the desk/paper.
This is fantastic. You have no idea how much my girls LOVE to write / draw / color. But how much they dislike to clean up their papers and coloring utensils. I am doing the sliding glass door for sure! It will be a surprise when they come home to all these great ideas!!!
